Good evening! It's been a pretty dreary day across the region, as those stubborn pesky clouds hung around all day and held high temperatures in the middle and upper 50's. We may see just some minor breaks in those clouds. HRRR Future Cloud Cover is showing clouds hanging on right thru the day tomorrow.
Looks like we have yet another big rainmaker on the way, as we head into Wednesday and lighter rain into a portion of Halloween.
NAM-WRF model is showing some hefty totals of about 3 inches in the Evansville Metro area and in general, around 1-2 inches across the coverage area, with locally higher amounts possible. If this verifies, Flash Flood Watches may be needed. The WPC model depicts 1-2+ inches possible in the same areas.

Colder temperatures will move in behind the front. A hard freeze is likely Friday morning, as temperatures dip down into the upper 20's to lower 30's across the region.
High temperatures struggle to reach 50 on Friday.
What are the chances for at least a few flakes on Halloween? Not looking good, unless you live in far northeast sections of the Tri-State in southern Illinois. Even there, chances are slim. Chances are even better in Central Indiana. This is currently verified by both the NAM 12 km and GFS models.
That's gonna do it for this blog. Hope everyone has a great night!
