Bitter Cold Temperatures And First Measurable Snowfall On The Way???

Good evening! Hope everyone is having a great one and enjoying these cooler than normal weekend temperatures. If you aren't a fan of the colder temps, then you may want to consider going much further south, because the coldest air of the season by far will be moving into the Ohio Valley during week two (the week of 11-11). We could potentially see overnight low temperatures in the teens and possibly the single digits.

Monday (11-11) may see daytime temperatures falling into the middle and upper 20's behind the arctic cold front.

Tuesday morning (November 11) low temperatures possibly in the lower to middle teens.

Potential daytime high temperatures on Tuesday (November 12) may struggle to reach 20 degrees.

Right now, it is way too soon to say for sure if we will see any measurable snowfall. But the last two runs of the GFS have hinted at the possibility for a rain changing to snow scenario (12z run pictured below), late Monday afternoon/Monday evening.

The latest run of the GFS (18z) is hinting at a rain changing to snow scenario on Monday (11-12).

The European Model (ECMWF) has a warm bias and is not currently on board with the snow potential. I do think it will jump on board with the GFS as we get closer to this period.

Note....Snow talk is not a forecast. One model, one solution! This is by no means any type of hype! I'm just giving you an idea of what the model guidance is showing. A lot can and will change with each new model run. Snow is not a certainty this far out. We will watch the trends and keep you updated.

Have a great night and thank you for following Metro Weather Watch!
